This beautiful 1960's Vintage MCM Ivory Wedding dress with daisy detailing, a pastel green waist band and a train is in wonderful condition, with the only issues discovered was the lack of eye hooks in three locations and one small rip in the train. (See photo with a quarter for scale) The daisies on the dress symbolize the 1960's Flower power movement, which coined the phrase "“Make love not war,” and promoted the idea that love and nonviolence, such as the growing of flowers, was a better way to heal the world.
The dress is branded Neusteters, which was a well-known department store in Denver, Colorado and was once considered to be one of the leading women’s wear retailers in the US outside of New York. Their original store opened in 1895 and closed in 1996.
The chest, when measured flat, is 16.5" wide, the waist, when measured flat, is 14.5" wide, the back of the dress, measured down from the collar, is 72" long, and the front of the dress, measured down from the collar, is 59" long.
The sleeves are 25" long, measured from the shoulder seam to the wrist cuffs and measured flat, the sleeves are 5.5" wide, until the elbow, where it puffs out to 9" wide. The wrist cuffs, which snap closed, measured flat, are 3.5" wide and 2.5" inches high. (The sleeve length is measured from the shoulder to the cuff. I added the additional measurements for the cuffs as they are slightly smaller in width)
