This iconic 1960's Vintage off white Daisy laced Wedding dress with train is an amazing example of the Flower Power movement. Flowers, especially daisies, were used to promote peace and show that the wearer was against the Vietnam War. The dress does have some issues, one being on the inside of the dress, near the left shoulder, where the liner has separated a bit (see photo) and also the dress has numerous stains, which appear to be red wine or punch. (see photos).
The dress is really two dresses in one. The actual body of the dress, which is a lighter white (as seen in the photos) is attached to and incased by the flowy outer layer, which includes the train. The dimensions for the body of the dress, are the chest, measured flat, at 16" wide, the waist, measured flat, at 15.5" wide, and from the waist to the bottom of the dress, measured flat, the body is 19.5" wide. There is a slit that comes up from the bottom, that is 13" long. The sleeves, measured from the shoulder, are 13" long and 5.5" wide, measured flat.
The body of the dress is 54" long, measured from the front scoop of the neck and the flowy outer layer, measured from the back scoop of the neck, is 87" long. The dress has buttons and a zipper, all on the back.
Please compare the measurements included, to ensure a perfect fit. The dress comes from a smoke free home.
