This wonderful 1970's Sunflower Orange Fondue pot with stand and burner is in great shape but is missing the bottom plate. The pot itself has no scratches on the outside but does show some orange paint on the inside. The handle and topper are both made of wood. The metal stand is in great shape, but does need a good scrubbing, as I was worried that if I scrubbed to hard, that the black paint might come off. I did give it a basic scrub, but did not bring out the SOS pad, which it seems to need.
The pot is 6-inches high, including its wooden knob, is 21-inches around and its handle is 6-inches long. The metal base is 4-inches high.
The 1970's Fondue craze started at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, as it was the first time Americans came in contact with fondu and Swiss Culture. The term “fondue” comes from the French word “fondre” which means “to melt."
The fondue pot comes from a smoke free home.
